We recommend renting a car. There are a number of car rental agencies on island, but we typically rent from Andy's. They are a short walk across the parking lot from the arrivals terminal, and they offer a 10% discount for repeat rentals. Check with your car insurance carrier before you leave home to see if your coverage extends to rental cars. If not, you will need to purchase insurance from the car rental agency. To reserve a car, visit their website at http://www.andys.ky. Don't forget to drive on the left!
We've also had good experiences with Marshall's Car Rental agency, which is also very conveniently located a short walk from the arrivals terminal at the airport. https://www.marshalls.ky/
Be sure to reserve your rental car well in advance of your trip. Many rental car agencies reduced the size of their rental fleets during the COVID-19 Pandemic shutdown, which has caused a shortage of rental cars available on island.
A taxi can be hired to take you to/from the airport or other destinations. The fare from the airport to Discovery Point Club is $39 USD/$31.20 CID one way.
The Cayman Islands Government owned digital fare calculator CI:GO (pictured above) helps ensure consistent and transparent pricing for taxi fares by setting standard prices for routes. The app allows passengers to plug in their route, the number of passengers and see what the fare should cost in both US and Caymanian dollars.
The Public Bus runs regularly along West Bay Road. It's easy to catch and inexpensive (CI$2/US$2.50, CI$3.50 or CI$5, depending on destination) per person to ride. All riders must have cash (exact change).
When approaching a roundabout, keep in mind that you must "give way" or yield to any vehicles already in the roundabout. Different than a 4-way stop, you do not have to stop if it is clear for you to advance.
If you wish to go straight, you may use either the left or the right lane and just continue through to the other side (after giving way to anyone in the roundabout).
<<< EXAMPLE: The black car in the diagram to the left.
If you wish to turn left at the first exit, make sure you are in the left lane when approaching the roundabout.

If you wish to turn right (take the third exit), make sure you are in the right lane when approaching the roundabout, then switch to the left lane just prior to your turning point. (It's counter-intuitive that you will be making a left-hand turn in order to make a right because you will go a little past your turn due to being in the roundabout.)

If you need to make a U-turn, make sure you are in the right lane when approaching the roundabout, and continue around the roundabout in the right lane until you exit in the direction you wish to go.
